GPCCI ORGANIZES TEXTILE WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH EUROCENTRA ON THE GERMAN SUPPLY CHAIN DUE DILIGENCE ACT & SUSTAINABILITY REGULATIONS

The German-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce (GPCCI) had the privilege of hosting an insightful workshop titled, “The German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and Sustainability Regulations,” in collaboration with Eurocentra, part of Wünsche Group. The workshop was a crucial step to empower Pakistani businesses belonging to the textile and apparel sector to expand and thrive in the German and European markets.

Our distinguished guests and expert speakers included Mr. Zahid Sajjad, Mr. Jörn Otto, Ms. Annika Schwaegerl, Mr. Norbert Gaensslen, Ms. Fazilat Sayani, and Mr. Ayaz Thaver. They provided valuable insights related to the specific challenges associated with complying with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act. Certifications crucial for exporting to the European and German markets were discussed along with Pakistan’s resilience and potential for growth. The fundamental obligations on companies concerning sustainability and the environmental impact were also highlighted.
