Imran Shamim brings over 15 years of expertise in corporate affairs, government relations, public relations, and communications. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal roles at different German organizations, namely METRO Pakistan, the Consulate General of Germany, Goethe-Institut, Hans Seidel Foundation and the Pakistan German Business Forum (PGBF), where he played a key role in engaging with stakeholders across both countries.

In his role as Project Manager at the Pakistan German Business Forum (PGBF), Imran made significant contributions to transforming the forum into a chamber of commerce. He initiated industry expert groups and organized the largest business delegation to Germany in 2013, solidifying his reputation as a leader in fostering German-Pakistani business relations.

Imran holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, Germany, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Karachi. His experience spans public relations, project management, and strategic communication, underpinned by strong strategic thinking and leadership skills. This combination makes him adept at navigating complex regulatory environments, fostering cross-cultural collaboration, and driving impactful initiatives. Fluent in German, English, and Urdu, he excels in building international partnerships, which is essential for enhancing bilateral trade and investment.

Imran is dedicated to promoting a business-friendly environment, advocating for sustainable practices, and leading initiatives that deepen economic ties between Germany and Pakistan. His leadership is characterized by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and long-term strategic growth.
