SEMINAR ON PAKISTAN'S ECONOMIC OUTLOOK - OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES

On 26th September 2024, GPCCI had the pleasure of bringing together member representatives, top minds from the corporate world, diplomatic community, and media for an exclusive seminar at the German Consulate in Karachi. The event, “Pakistan’s Economic Outlook – Opportunities & Challenges,” was a fantastic opportunity for open discussions on critical issues like foreign investment, trade, budget, and taxation. 

 

Our Chief Guest, Secretary Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Mr. Jamil Qureshi, delivered valuable insights on how SIFC is simplifying the process for businesses, reiterating that their support is just an email away. He highlighted key initiatives around foreign currency accounts, business visas, and USD-based accounts for IT companies, along with plans to boost corporate farming, mining, and minerals.

 

We were also fortunate to have Dr. Amjad Waheed, CEO of NBP Funds, and Mr. Abdul Qadir Memon, Founder & Chief Advisor of A. Qadir & Company, as guest speakers, sharing their perspectives on the economic outlook.
